Prepare to get saucy.
Popular Birmingham burger chain Milo’s will bring its signature sauces to a new east Montgomery location next week, about four months after opening a Prattville location.
The latest restaurant is at 8747 Eastchase Parkway, not far from Academy Sports + Outdoors. It’ll open its doors for the first time at 6 a.m. Aug. 31.
Milo’s specializes in made-to-order burgers, hand-breaded chicken tenders, and more. They have a full breakfast menu featuring biscuits, Conecuh sausage and cinnamon rolls. The chain also specializes in hand-spun shakes.
You can also get some freebies if you’re there early on the first few days. The first 100 dine-in customers on opening day will get a Milo’s hat; the first 100 on Sept. 1 get a punch card for a variety of free menu items; and the first 100 on Sept. 2 get a card for a free Milo’s biscuit.
Like the Prattville location, the Montgomery restaurant will employ about 40 people. City leaders plan to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony the day before the new location opens.
Milo’s opened at 2305 Cobbs Ford Road in front of Lowe’s earlier this year, featuring a custom drink station and sauce bar.
The Montgomery restaurant will be the 17th location for the chain, most of which are around Birmingham.
“We chose Prattville because of the solid community and frankly because we’ve had a lot of requests for Milo’s to come here,” Milo’s CEO Tom Dekle said when announcing the Prattville location. “We listen to the folks who write in on our website or contact us on social media, asking us to come to their community. As we approached expansion, Prattville and Montgomery were high on our list.”
Both of the River Region restaurants were designed by Hendon + Huckestein Architects of Birmingham and built by Paragon Construction of Montgomery.
